Grown along the cool Sonoma Coast, Votre Santé Pinot Noir is crafted in a refined, graceful style, light in body and very food friendly.

Director's Cut Cinema 2007 -- "Winemaking and filmmaking are two great art forms that are very important in the development of California. They both start with raw ingredients—in the case of wine, the land and the grapes, and in the case of film, the script and the actors’ performances. The winemaker takes these raw materials and ferments and blends. He says yes to one batch, no to another. The director does the same thing: a series of yeses and nos, from casting and costuming to edits and sound mixes. In both cases you have to start with top notch raw materials—whether it’s the land or a script.” -Francis Ford Coppola

Francis Coppola Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 -- The Label
To commemorate the special nature of these wines, our bottles feature a distinct label design. Six different playful configurations of letters, which comprise the Coppola name, were created by, literally, tossing 3-dimensional pieces of type into the air and capturing them in flight. Each is a one-of-a-kind expression as prized as the wine in the bottle.
Sam’s Vineyard
Alexander Valley is comprised of varied terrain, from mountains that are exposed to full and abundant sunlight, to the valley floor in the south, which is cooler and highly influenced by maritime weather conditions. Alluvial soils run the length of the valley, and many vineyards are punctuated by sedimentary stones, which retain heat and transfer warmth to the vines even when the sun cannot. Additionally, the fruit from this diverse appellation typically demonstrates great concentration and flavor. Sam’s Vineyard is situated in the eastern hillsides of the appellation on an extremely steep mountain-vineyard composed . . .

Francis Coppola Reserve Syrah 2007 -- Click here to see a video clip of winemaker Corey Beck discuss the Reserve wines. Australians have made the varietal incredibly popular (under the name "Shiraz"), but here in California, we do the grape justice too!
Mounts Vineyard
Located on the western benchlands of northern Dry Creek Valley, Mounts Vineyard xperiences cool, foggy mornings and rather hot days. Because there is a substantial difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, the growing season lasts longer, so the grapes mature more slowly. This, along with a high level of organic material in the alluvial silt and clay loam soils, accentuates the jammy, dark fruit flavors of Syrah.
The Wine
As is traditional in France, the 2006 Francis Coppola Reserve Mounts Vineyard Syrah is co-fermented with a small percentage of Viognier to lift the aromatics and help set this varietal’s bright magenta color. Enjoy an enticing perfume of blackberries, currants, leather and spice. Generous flavors of raspberries and black plums . . .
Francis Coppola Reserve Pinot Noir 2008 -- This Reserve Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley hails from Dutton Ranch, a unique vineyard where both red and white grapes flourish. For this vintage, Pinot Noir from Dutton Ranch was the prominent stand out for our Reserve collection. The vineyard is located near the Pacific Ocean and experiences fog nearly every afternoon. Not only does this condition serve to lower ambient temperatures by 30-40 degrees in the evening, it works perfectly to slow down the ripening process so that grapes can accumulate flavor concentration by maturing over a longer period of time. This smooth, silky Pinot offers seductive AROMAS of rose petals and ripe red cherries along with generous FLAVORS of crushed raspberries, blackberries, and fragrant spices. Wonderful with seasoned pork tenderloin, roast beef with wild mushrooms, or fettuccine with Italian sausage and cream sauce. Blend: 100% Pinot Noir; Alcohol: 14.5%.Aged: 8 months in French oak50% new, 50% 1 year
Francis Coppola Reserve Viognier 2007 -- Want to see what our winemaker, Corey Beck, has to say about the Viognier? Click here for a video clip. Available exclusively through the Francis Coppola Winery and the online store, Francis Coppola Reserve Viognier 2007 is crafted from 100% Viognier (vee-ohn-yay) grapes grown in the Russian River Valley.
Why try Viognier? Viognier is a French Rhône wine varietal that is quickly rising to the top as an American favorite and California is its newest realm with about 2000 acres planted. And, as WinePros.com puts it, "Both Chardonnay and Viognier share tropical fruit flavors and a creamy mouthfeel. Even with little or no wood aging, Viognier can be as full-bodied as an oaky Chardonnay, but has much more distinctive fruit character. It also has a typically deep golden color, as well as rich and intense flavor."

Francis Coppola Reserve Petite Sirah Dessert Wine 2006 -- 100% Ruby's Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley!
The Varietal
Petite Sirah is a powerhouse red grape that makes dark, inky wines that are peppery, heavy on the tannin and chock full of delicious blackberry flavors. Because of its heady nature, this varietal is ideal for producing a Port-style wine, which is produced by stopping fermentation while there is still sugar left in the wine and then adding grape brandy to the tank. The resulting wine becomes higher in alcohol, as you may well imagine, and well suited for aging. Ports made from Petite Sirah typically offer juicy flavors of baked blackberry pie, sugared plums and sweet black cherries as well as notes of dark chocolate and seasoned wood.
The Wine
Our Petite Sirah is grown in Dry Creek Valley. This appellation has a diversity of microclimates and soil variations, which enables it to accommodate many different grape varietals. Petite Sirah ripens beautifully in the warm northern section of the region and gathers much complexity due . . .

Director's Cut Zinfandel 2007 --
Recommended by Peter Gianotti of New York NEWSDAY as a "very good wine deal".
Dry Creek Valley
There are two methodologies for growing Zinfandel in Dry Creek Valley. One consists of traditional farming practices, which includes the dry-farming of head-trained, spur-pruned vines, that are quite mature and severely thinned in the spring to produce low yields. The other employs more modern methods, including bilateral cordon, spur-pruned on-wire trellising, drop irrigation, and carefully manicured canopies. We source our Zinfandel grapes from vineyards on the benchlands and hillsides, which are farmed both ways. The combination of the area’s climate, our vineyard sites, and the two types of the farming methods used produces excellent fruit with intensely concentrated flavor.
Vintage profile
The 2007 vintage was a winemaker’s dream, and, quite possibly, the vintage of a lifetime. An unusually dry winter gave way to a warm , dry spring, which significantly reduced the crop size. . . .
Director's Cut Chardonnay 2008 -- Hear what winemaker Corey Beck has to say about the Director's Cut Chardonnay! Click here for a video clip. The Chardonnay is 100% Russian River Valley, an area shaped by a regular intrusion of cooling fog from the Pacific Ocean a few miles to the west. This cools the valley down from its daytime high temperatures by as much as 35 to 40 degrees, allowing Chardonnay grapes to develop full flavor maturity over an extended growing season—often 15 to 20 percent longer than neighboring areas—while retaining their all-important natural acidity. 100% barrel fermented. We crush our Russian River Chardonnay whole-cluster and then ferment entirely in French oak barrels to achieve a silky, seductive texture. This vintage offers profuse aromatics of honeysuckle, baked pineapple, exotic spices and vanilla crème, as well as tightly focused flavors of pear, green apple, lemon and passion fruit, all beautifully layered upon a full-bodied palate. 12 months in 50% new French oak, 50%1-2 year old oak; 100% . . .

Francis Coppola Reserve Chardonnay 2007 -- Click here to see a video clip of winemaker, Corey Beck, talk about our Dutton Ranch Chardonnay. 100% Dutton Ranch designated. Situated beside nearby apple orchards, the Dutton Ranch vineyard rather ironically produces fruit that is reminiscent of apple pie, rich yet sufficiently balanced by a crisp, natural acidity; a factor which allows these wines to age and develop greater complexity over time. Available exclusively through the Rosso & Bianco winery and the online store, our Francis Coppola Reserve 2007 Chardonnay demonstrates exceptional flavor complexity due to a very long season. Initial impressions of soft, creamy citrus and a hint of minerals give way to luscious flavors of pear, green apple and smoky spice, which build and lengthen toward a finish of ripe fruit and caramel.Alcohol: 14.5%
